COP24 in Katowice: What is Europe doing to fight climate change?
The 24th Conference of Parties, otherwise known as COP24, took place from 2 to 14 December 2018 in Katowice, Poland. Three years after signing the historic Paris Climate Agreement, it is important to evaluate Europe’s efforts in the fight against global warming. COP24 brought together representatives from 190 countries for two weeks to assess the efforts made to reduce greenhouse gas emissions (CO2), and to try to prevent global temperatures from rising by more than 2°C. Let’s assess Europe’s environmental action so far.
