Kristijan Fidanovski holds an undergraduate degree in Politics and East European Studies from University College London. Currently, he studies European, Russian and Eurasian Studies at the University of Georgetown in Washington, D.C. His primary interests are the sociopolitical affairs of the ex-Yugoslav countries, and he is the editor in chief of the politics magazine The Vostokian.

Auf dem ersten Blick sind der Eurovision Song Contest und die Europäische Union völlig gegensätzlich. Der ESC ist cool, aber unnötig ; die EU ist nicht ganz so cool, aber sehr nötig. Der ESC ist eine Verschwendung von Geld für billige Musik auf dem ganzen Kontinent (und aus irgendeinem Grund auch in Ländern wie Australien und dem diesjährigen Gewinner Israel). Im Gegensatz dazu hat die EU seit Jahrzehnten für Frieden auf unserem Kontinent gesorgt und trotzdem ist sie unterfinanziert und wenig geschätzt.
